G.M. - Is there a phytomorphous mark in your works? Is there a feeling between the vegetable world and you?
M.M. - Approaching botanical nature allows you to regain possession of the temporal dimension that has been stolen by the technological speed. Growing tomatoes in a vegetable garden, understanding the circadian rhythm and the season cycles affects those works where there is a link between culture and nature.
G.M. - Talking about feelings, how much inspiration do you draw from sounds and music?
M.M. - Attention turns sounds into music. I enjoy how music mingles with life.
G.M. - I feel that electronics for you is like the pig in Parma: nothing is thrown away, am I wrong?
MM- Nature knows no garbage. My approach to technology is reverse engineering : analyzing circuits, extracting essential components, ripping off devices. Once the components have been reduced into prime factors , these can be reused endlessly like the words of a vocabulary.
